Hi, here my new piece, although I don't consider it finished. I think the main theme works pretty well, with its accompaniment and ostinato baseline, and it could be more elaboration and changes on it to do the piece a bit longer and with more contrast. There is a second theme, a contrasting one in the relative major scale. The structure of the piece is: Intro - A - B - A.

I appreciate some ideas, also critiques about orchestration, harmoy or whatever are welcome.

Here a screen shot of the main Theme (A) with its accompaniment:

It sounds nice and with some mediterranean flavor.

You should make clear how many instruments you are using, and bear it in mind.

I saw a chord of three notes in the trombone (m. 39-42). And the French Horn 2 has two pitches somewhere (m. 22-24).

Hi Luis, you are right, I think is a good practice to write at the beginning of the score how many instruments are playing. Woodwings are typically used in pairs (2 flute, 2 oboes,...), but I can by as you choose. For my its most ogf the times difificult to decide which instruments and how many of them I will use when I start a new composition. So I usially change the arrangement may times during the process. There are of course standard arrangements (String quartet, classical orchestra, and so on) but they must fit with the form, style texture you have...

How do you decide the arrangement in you works? Do you have a clear idea from the beginning or you fit it by trying?

Un saludo y gracias!

The re-entrance of the main theme in m98 feels very pleasurable.

I feel this piece is very consistent throughout, and although I didn't look into it with much attention, the orchestration feels very appropriate. There may be a few problems here and there, as noted by @Luis Hernández, but all that is required is a final polish.

I like the theme a lot, it captures the romantic period well, and the harmonies feel very alive.

Good job 🙂
