Fugax Contrapunctus Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 I spent most sunday working on it and I think it to be decent enough for me to post it. Anyway, hope you enjoy it, here it is: MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu Fugue in C sharp minor #2 > next PDF Fugue in C sharp minor #2 Quote
Jean Szulc Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Hey! First thing to ask: were you going for a strict baroque fugue? If so, there's not much I can help you with. I'm not that much of a fan of dense and fast paced fugues. Besides that, I like it! Great job. Cheers! Quote
jawoodruff Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Overall, not bad. The counterpoint works well among all the parts. I would have loved to have a bit of a breath between the density of it all. Perhaps you can thin up some of the contrapuntal textures with a little variety (the them would work well with stretto, imitative counterpoint, and other contrapuntal techniques). Would be a good piece to break down into the parts to showcase fugal form for those who don't have much familiarity with it. Looking forward to hearing more! Quote
