Rondó in E minor

Well, this is a rondo that I composed some time ago. I know the last measures are almost impossible to play, i will nerf them later.

Any comment is apreciated :3..

A very simple rondo in the form, nothing wrong with that though. Nobody says that the rondo you compose has to be long or quick or anything else. It just has to be a rondo. Those left hand octaves in the ending would be way easier if you do a ritardando before the octaves. I like your rondo. I hear this in the rondo as far as sections:

  • A - The beginning E minor theme and its embellished reappearances
  • B - The G major passage with the sixteenth note scales, recapitulates in B minor
  • C - Slow staccato passage, sounds syncopated to my ears, G minor, right(I am hearing F# notes and C minor chords in that section)?

Amounting to this:

A, A', B, A'', Transition, C, A'''(with Picardy Third and accelerando), A''''(full on major key start, though it goes back to minor soon afterwards), B', A''''', Coda(Difficult left hand octaves)

And for the most part it is playable, even for a pianist with smaller hands that can only reach a ninth such as myself. Main thing that adds difficulty is the octaves at the end. As I said, those would be way easier on the pianist if you did a ritardando before the octaves. Overall though, it is a good rondo and only really needs adjustments to the left hand in the the ending measures.

Very nice. The structure flows smoothly, and you have a good grasp of harmony. A couple of things:

1. I think the main theme could be a bit more complex. Not necessarily the first time, but when it comes back there could be some more ornamentation.

2. I have to disagree with both of you - I don't think the end needs changing. The whole thing is very difficult, and both hands at the end could be learnt fairly quickly. For me, the section starting Bar 78 is more difficult to pull of very well as a performer.

Thanks for analyzing the structure, the c section is in G minor, if you see the shet music I marked accents on the scale. I said it is almost impossible, because it is at least for me, my hands are very small I can barely play an octave :c.

it is A A' B B' A''' C D A''' E B' B'' A''''

A: main theme E MINOR

A': Main theme with some embellishment E MINOR

B: first couplet G major

B': Same couplet buth with some added pedal note

A'': Main theme but with added pedal note in the arpeggios E minor

C : Just a little transition to G minor, Em ---> B ---> C ---> Em ---> C ---> D7 ---> Gm 

D : this could be taken as a section by itself. Gm --->  G ---> Am ---> B7 ---> Em ---> Aadd#6 ---> Em ---> F#° ---> B7 ---> Em (overall harmony)

A''': very similar to A'', with the difference that ends in major

E: A theme that modulates to B minor E ---> Am ---> Dm ---> F ---> E° ---> F#7 ---> Bm

B' and B'' :  this time in B minor

A'''': A'' but with the first 2 bars repeated 3 time to archieve some momentum Bm---> B ---> Em, also the end is different, intead of ending in E minor it returns holding in B7 to resolve it in the last A entrance

A''''': Incomplete A theme that holds in a V7  before resolving.

1. If I make some modifications I will take this on count.

2. I said it is almost impossible, because it is at least for me, my hands are very small I can barely play an octave :c., and yeah that part is pretty hard too, because of the accents and the polyrithms and syncopation.
