jawoodruff Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 String suspensions are so beautiful and lush. I love the quiet interplay around 0:40. This is very gorgeous. Nice work 🙂 1 Quote

BlazingDragon Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Gorgeous harmonies that go to unexpected places. I love the dissonance in the low-mid strings at 1:29 and again at 1:40! One small critique is that I wish there were fewer voices playing the third of the final chord. It sounds a bit off balance to me. 1 Quote

Also I think the lower 3rd on the violas is slightly out if tune which kind of brings the problem into closer view. Quote
Jean Szulc Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Some of it reminds me of Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde "Der Abschied" Try 11:40 If you want to ever expand this (which I would really enjoy seeing), I would recommend decreasing the density of the orchestration, so that it sounds lighter, and that in important moments the listener can have a display of the power the orchestra.
