ModderKevin Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) So I just composed my first piece and I would be very grateful to receive feedback. Please don't mind the mistakes in the recording. (I literally recorded the piece right after I composed it so please cut me some slack) Also, I feel that I did something wrong in the sheet music. Please let me know I didn't do it right. Thank you. Monarcheon Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Your score... I feel a lot in 3/4, with the downbeat on the low notes. Is this notation a conscious decision? Like the beginning of a new phrase in the middle of m. 66 is baffling to me. Quote
ModderKevin Posted January 9, 2020 Author Posted January 9, 2020 Thank you so much for spotting that in measure 66! I'm really new to notation so I'm not very clear with this stuff. 😀 Quote
KJthesleepdeprived Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Nice. Dramatic, but like low-key dramatic. The notation is a little odd for me. It's not terrible but I think the time signature should reflect the rhythmic pulse of the music. This would look and feel more natural in 3/4, like Monarcheon said. Other than that, nice work! Quote
