It's a long hetereophonic texture with nothing moving. it will be hard for people to grasp this composition with nothing to help it move. Quote

That moment at 3:41 was a good fake-out, I love those moments when you expect something and it goes in a totally different direction. Kind of sets up a whole unexpected section. 4:16 was interesting, I think I'll use that . 5:03, nice, wasn't expecting that diminished turn. I especially like the conclusion, I think you strike a nice balance between tonality and parallel harmony. Quote

I was led to believe (by the internet) that most trumpet players would own a Bb and D trumpet. Maybe they are less common than it seems. I can easily transpose this. 2) Yes, lack of counterpoint has often been a problem in my works. I'm interested to look at how I can fit more in. Mikebat321 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 I like it, some nice melodic ideas going on. For me personally too much changing and not enough stability. The main parts don't always stand out too. If you invested about a 100 in NotePerformer3 it would sound 10 times better, and you'd have a lot more control. I like your way of thinking tho.
