caters Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Is the rhythm of the chords in the right hand of the piano some sort of triplet rhythm? I tried to figure out the rhythm and, usually I can figure out the rhythm of my improvisation, but this is a place where I ran into rhythmic confusion, because I seem to be fitting a 5/4 rhythm into a 4/4 bar, without any polymeter. So, what is the rhythm of the second beat here? Quote
Monarcheon Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 This is what you played in the video. Works fine in 4/4. Maybe you're extending the dotted rhythm past its confinement to a beat mentally. Quote

In retrospect, listening to this rhythm that you said I was playing in the video, and listening to the video itself, besides the difference between Musescore soundfont and actual piano sound, it sounds identical to the chords in the video.
