Luis Hernández Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 (edited) A little piece I've been working on... I keep on exploring the orchestra. Edited February 18, 2020 by Luis Hernández Quote
jawoodruff Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I think this is an excellent piece so far. I love how you're playing with the distinct timbres of each instrument. Good job! Quote
HoYin Cheung Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 @Luis Hernández I agree with @jawoodruff. You really have a great use of the timbre the instruments. This work sounds like a theme for ancient civilizations. I actually admire your writing style here... The texture is not too thick, but the piece has a rich sound and clear development. Quote
Markus Boyd Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 This is very nice. I would love to learn about your software and sound samples as are excellent quality. It is refreshing to hear tolerable MIDI strings as most software cannot even manage that! In fact they sound almost like the real thing. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted February 24, 2020 Author Posted February 24, 2020 @Markus Boyd Hi. It's all done with Note Performer under Dorico, except the horn soloist which is another instrument. No further manipulation with DAW. Quote
Jean Szulc Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Very cool piece, one of my favourite of yours 🙂 I feel like you managed to mix a style very particular of yours with that "british soundtrack" sound, always heavy on great orchestration. Quote
