This is a short piano piece I have composed using microtones. I hope you like it!

Sounds amazing!

The question is: how exactly do you expect it to be performed? Is it for one piano using a specific tuning, or will this be performed on multiple instruments each with a different tuning?

Thank you! I think it has to be performed using two pianos; maybe with slowing it down a little.

Do you have a score for it? It would be very useful to see how that could be achieved.

By the way, what is that sound around 0:32?

I think this will be incredibly hard to play if divided into two people. Perhaps a two keyboard harpsichord might be useful, if each one is tuned a half-tone apart. Besides that, I don’t see another way of doing it other than by an immense effort by a couple of musicians.

Interesting concept. I know when I was studying at CCPA in Chicago, we had a piano that was able to play microtones. I honestly never got into it -even though I know the potential for enhancing and expanding the scope of harmonies is greatly increased through the use of microtones.

That said, nice work. Would love to hear it live.

how did you make this kind of sound effect? using computer? how to change a tonal piece into a microtonal one? teach me please

I did that using a notation software; MuseScore. There is an option for notating microtones, and a plugin you can download to get playback. I made use of Arabic maqams (special scales) that contain microtones.
