I like it. The melody is memorable, and the lyrics work well with the music. The only thing I have to say is that it's a little short, but it kinds of give an effect of something being just transient, which complements the lyrics I find.

Simple, which is fine. Maybe consider a short rhythm-breaker in the bass with a 3 note walkup or something for text painting purposes, but it functions well as is. 

Hi Matthew.  Did you come up with the lyrics yourself?  They're quite personal and melancholic so maybe they came from experience (but you don't have to answer that if you don't want to).  The tone of the music fits the lyrics.

I don’t have any questions/comments about the lyrics or theory side of the piece, I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed listening to it and I thought it was beautifully written. Great job!
