Samuel Tang Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 (edited) Just finished the first movement of my new project. The first movement is introduced by an 8-bar section (slow), follow by an exciting syncopated section. The development involves elements from both sections and goes to a soothing C major slow section, which is interrupted by the syncopated section inspired coda. Please enjoy 🙂 Edited June 18, 2020 by Samuel Tang MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu 1st Movement > next PDF 1st movement - Full Score 1 Quote
Ivan1791 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Very good ideas and creativity, but for me the piece sounds rushed and at some other points it sounds repetitive. It is okay, the use of consonance-dissonance is pretty nice and your melodies aren't too predictable (which I believe is good) like something I could compose. 1 Quote

Thank you for your lovely comment :) What do you suggest to make it less repetitive but has a recognisable melody/harmony ? Quote

For example in the minute 1:49 change that structure a little bit. Later you repeat it. 1 Quote
