Sun Posted June 29, 2020 Author Posted June 29, 2020 Was written and performed by me. Comments of advice and criticism are appreciated. Also, if anyone could give me advice on how to get a better sound from home, let me know. Quote
Monarcheon Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 First, it's a bit pitchy. Second, solo violin goes a long way with reverb, which would massively help for this "relaxing" genre you're going for. Might be worth observing your registral treatment and opting for some compound melody... the Baroque definitely knew how to write slow stuff. 1 Quote
Albayrak Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 good performance. there are good ideas but you lose them with repetitive arpeggio and chromatic advances. in general, it will be more melodic if you base your theme on certain ideas. it looks more like etude this way, but it can be improved. 1 Quote
Sun Posted June 30, 2020 Author Posted June 30, 2020 (edited) @Monarcheon Thanks for the advice/criticism and for listening, I appreciate it. I'll be researching/experimenting with compound melodies when I add more instruments in the future, and will also experiment with some reverb Thanks again Edited June 30, 2020 by Sun Quote
Sun Posted June 30, 2020 Author Posted June 30, 2020 (edited) @ClasiCompose Thanks for the advice/criticism and for listening as well, much appreciated. I agree that it felt repetitive, and posted it hoping for some feedback/ideas on how to expand in the future, which you gave. Thanks again Edited June 30, 2020 by Sun Quote
