PeterthePapercomPoser Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hello. So - I remember hearing a term for a phrase which starts after the strongest beat in a phrase but I don't remember what it was and I can't seem to find it. The term for a pick-up that happens before the strongest beat in a phrase is an Anacrusis I believe. Quote

That makes sense from what I found about that term online (the meaning I found is that it literally means "leaderless") although I am not sure if that's the term I heard used in school. Thanks!
