Luis Hernández Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 HI this is a piece I have rewritten from an old idea. I like this sound, the Mark I electric piano. I omitted the chord notation because there are polychords, mixed chords (major and minor at once, etc...). PeterthePapercomPoser Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 I like your melodic ideas in this and the harmonic ideas seem unified with the melody and grow naturally out of it. This harmonic language is very rich but still functional which makes it sound pretty rather than jarring. Your choice of instrument also helps this piece come across as very mellow and smooth. Quite enjoyable! Quote
Seni-G Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Gosh I love the sound of the electric piano! The warble in the held chords is very satisfying. So emotive, and it really makes those jazz chords sing! Good work with your progressions here. I haven't done any analysis, just listened. I love jazz, and I like your experimentation with sounds here. The repeating melodic theme that keeps coming in has a nice interplay with the dissonant chords beneath and around it. There is something very nostalgic about this kind of music... I'm not sure what it reminds me of, but it's evocative. I would definitely sip vodka martinis to this music! This is also the kind of thing I like to play on piano. Cheers! Quote
