Albayrak Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 It can be played if you change the a3 note to d4. 1 Quote
Joshua Ng Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 (edited) Hi! I don't think it can be played, due to shifting issues. If A3 is shifted to D4,the low A is in 1st position whereas the highest note, D, would be in 3rd position. Even with glissando it would be too hard for one to shift to that position. What I would suggest is make the lowest note A2 go to D3 instead, to use the open string. This comes w added benefit as the 2 open strings will create more natural resonance. also, you don't need to notate the glissando, quadruple stops are naturally implied to be played glissando anyways. Albayrak Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 @Joshua Ng I did not understand your suggestion because my English is not good, but my suggestion was this way; Also, using the arpeggio symbol doesn't mean he wants the notes to be arpeggled one by one quickly? If he did not use the symbol, the way it would be played is like this; first the first double stop quickly then the second double stop for the duration of the note? If I am wrong, please correct it Quote
Joshua Ng Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 @ClasiComposeOh i see, that works too. my suggestion was to make that D and A to be the open string, then play the F and D next. The A3 you mentioned is actually the A above middle C, not the A below middle C as you intended, so that created a misunderstanding. Both ways work! Quote
