PeterthePapercomPoser Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 This takes a while to get started but the mood it sets is quite bleak. I actually imagine this as more of a wintery piece than autumn. During the calm beginning I visualize softly falling snowflakes on some Russian landscape. When it gets more intense it's more stormy. It goes from very gentle to very driving. I can also hear it as a kind of depressed mood which is more common for some people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Although it's pretty much based on a single theme I don't tire of it nor of the consistently Eb minor tonality - the various tempos and figurations you use make all the difference and create some well executed contrasts. Well done and great performance! 1 Quote
Theodore Servin Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 (edited) This is really beautiful! This is probably my favorite piece by you! The mood enchanting, and the overall form was very effective, especially as it reached the clmax. Everything here was very well executed, and most importantly, it was emotional and beautiful. I especially liked the piano writing in the climax of the piece, it reminds me of Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata. Wonderful performance as well! 😄 Edited July 12, 2021 by Theodore Servin whose sonata? 1 Quote

I feel this play is like November. Very close to winter. 1 Quote

Thank you very much for your sincere words and positive feedback about my piece! Quote
