Mikebat321 Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 May I humbly invite you to give a little listen to Toccata for 2 pianos, composed some years ago but recently recorded. Punchy and fiery, stylistically somewhere between Bach and Chopin. Hope it gets your spirits pumping! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RcRzpLrs6Y Many thanks. Quote
BritishCompositeur Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Nice piece, reminiscent of a Bach prelude tick-tocking away over a chord progression. Right hand figuration is catchy, though I would have liked to see more interplay between the 2 pianos, maybe one with the arpeggios going up instead of down, or taking turns to play the main figuration - there's potential there to start smaller and really build up over 3 minutes to your massive ending! (giving the second piano more to do as well)... but I enjoyed listening to it, I think your description of this old piece of yours is apt! Thanks for sharing 1 Quote
