This is a very special fugue in comparison to all my previous works. For one, I have finally realized how necessary planning is when composing contrapunctal works if the desired goal is complexity. Which is exactly what I have done here, for the first time not just composing randomly, barely scratching the surface of a given subject's possibilities, but rather reaching unseen levels of complexity when compared to prior pieces of mine. Secondly, it is also the first time I agree with the idiom "great artists steal", as I have taken one of the subjects and another particularly important motif throughout the piece from two renowned composers of all time: Shostakovich and Mozart respectively. However I may not say which works of theirs I have taken the material for this fugue from: no spoilers! 🙂

The "Coloured" version of the document has the core material highlited, so you dear reviewers can thoroughly guide yourselves along.

IMPORTANT EDIT: I have just uploaded it to my YouTube channel:

Countless thanks in advance for reviewing my work, and as always, please enjoy! 🙂

Hi

Great work. I appreciate the colored version, always interesting to learn.

I have no objection to make, since in this kind of pieces I put my ears to work and I don't care too much about how it is technically (parallels and all those things, which, in the end, depend on the style). It sounds great. Only one observation: apart from the entries, the texture doesnt' change (4 voices at full); it is normal to see in the Great Composers of this type of music, a little playing with that, so texture is changing a little.
