Luis Hernández Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Hi I don't know exactly what system or technic you are using. I sounds between impressionism and expressionism. I think the textural counterpoint es very good. The only thing I miss a bit is more contrast with some kind of climatic part. This is an issue that sometimes happens when we write in this kind of language, but there are more tools to bring contrast than the "classic ones". Best. Quote
Quinn Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Very nice. I have no problem with this kind of music and good that it popped up just as I popped on here pre-bed time to see what was going on. It's atmospheric, modern impressionism, I'd say, mysterious; luminous in parts. Some interesting scoring. You say nothing about it though. I can't tell what VSTis you're using. It could do with better balancing in the more dense parts - more marcato on entries, pronouncing the higher treble a bit more as this gets lost in the mix. The quieter, thinner parts come through well though. The tail end fades away very nicely. Congratulations therefore. All it needs is a better rendering, more approximating a live performance to bring out its qualities. Quote
