Rabbival507 Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 It sounds good but the notes look so damn messy. I mean, it seems as if you just exported a music sheet from a midi file without looking at it first. Could you please upload the midi file itself instead? Quote

Could you please upload the midi file itself instead? thx for your "sound" comment. yes, i did just export it like that, the notes used in this piece came from a keyboard noodling session and i was curious to know exactly what i had played and thus exported notation from the midi. midi uploaded. Rabbival507 Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 "So, what's your piece about?" "Oh it's a beautiful story about an Absus4 chord." "Sounds fair to me." Well I think that it's good as a minimalistic piece, or if you try to convey one state for a very long time. On the other hand, there are ways to "go nowhere" and still keep on moving, taking braver steps but not in the usual method of tension and relief. I'd recommend listening to Debussy's preludes as well as other piano pieces from the era. I think I even listened to a talk about this very topic lately. If I remember correctly, it's that one: Quote

If I remember correctly, it's that one: oh this piece i posted will not be changed in any planned way by me. because i planned nothing about it at all. i noodled away on a keyboard for about 10 minutes, notes automatically captured by my virtual piano instrument software, took the midi, threw it into a daw, assigned midi to virtual piano, added at random various effects such as reverb, echo, delays. got the result presented here. i did not compose it, i stumbled across it, what right do i have now to alter whatever course it is now on. you are wrong kind sir. the state of this piece changes constantly if you LISTEN. it doth appear static but 'tis not. refine your hearing and hear. weird that it sound like nothing else here on YC.
