Papageno Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 A march for flute and cello. Im working on a bigger project at the moment but thought I'd compose something else today. 1 Quote
JorgeDavid Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 I really enjoyed it! I particularly liked the second part, since I felt it was a nice continuously flowing melody. The melody of B part was linked together with the melody of A part really well. And the ending of the second part was also really well linked to its own beginning, so both repetitions of the second part felt more like a really nice long melodic continuum, rather than the same content repeated twiece! Nice to have you back with some material and really excited about that bigger project you are getting ready! 🙂 Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 Nice job! Also glad to see you back and stoked about your bigger project. I like how you combined the A and B material in the coda at the end! That was a nice touch. Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote

I used schema in the march, the theme is based on the Aprile except rather than (do-ti-re-do) i used (do-re-ti-do) followed by a modulating prinner (mi-re-do-ti-la-sol) that leads to the HC at bar 8. My variations are going well, its just a bit difficult to play and my perfectionist streak is getting in the way at times. Quote
