AKAChristopher Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Extending ======= Do you have the gall to extend yourself, Extend yourself out into the musical universe And the universe, Dropping slightly at first the old ways, the old forms, The olden time styles of melody and rhythm and instrumentation and Orchestration while seemingly keeping perhaps, perhaps not, the Consternations experienced by a Bach, a Beethoven, a Wagner, a Mahler, a Bartok, a Schoenberg, a Stockhausen as they Moved down untofore untraveled roads of rhythm and melody and harmony and instrumentation and orchestration Orchestrating that which had not nor ever could have existed before never seen before never been before - nor heard before except perhaps Slightly by those who Knew not what was coming but knew exactly what needed to be coming, striving, struggling, translationing, Transmorgrifying, transitioning hitting all the coming themes, ideas, the melodies-the-harmonies-the-instrume ntations-the-orchestrated-orchestrations, The melodies and/or harmonies slightly perceived by random people's turn as beauty or ugly or insanely or sanely crafted, constructed, Conundrummed, drummed out of that fearing, frightful, felicitous, fantastical newableness a new thing, a new harmony a new melody or It has a good beat that to which you can dance, friends! mowdowns, countrymen, give me your ears striving to be free at times but not At all times, from the dross, the drivel, the diamonds in the rough, the diamonds of sound shimmering in new ways mimicing ever so slightly But definitely slightly still, with an ever proud production, a thank you, a benediction, an amen, an "ahem" saying that we have arrived Our time has arrived and do you have the desire to extend yourself, Extend yourself out into the musical universe And the universe, Dropping slightly at first the old ways, the old forms while soon targeting the one and the only you, the YOU, the one and only forever you.
