Jared Steven Destro Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 Hello all. It's been a difficult couple of years, so I haven't really been on the forum at all. However, I felt that it might be nice to give a bit of an update on myself and some of the music that I have written in that time. Since I left, I have experienced a variety of personal trials and I have about quadrupled my portfolio to an opus number of 80. I have earned my Master's degree and I am composing regularly. I am unsure how frequently I will post, but I do plan on adding some of my music to the pile. This piece is for violin and piano -- though originally composed for Wagner tuba and piano (the original), and it has an alternate alto saxophone/piano score. The work is based on Jean Metzinger's painting "La Danse (Bacchante)" and it replicates the subject's trance-like appearance. Giacomo925 Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 It's a really wonderful piece. I like how effortless and natural it sounds, even though the score is so clean and precise and clearly has been given a lot of thought. I've been browsing your posts, and would like to listen to the Klee suite, but unfortunately the youtube video is not available anymore. Help? Quote

I appreciate your interest in those pieces, though I have since removed that Youtube video. However, you are more than welcome to listen to the pieces here. Quote
