Austenite Posted July 17, 2021 Posted July 17, 2021 I just realized this thread was posted in the wrong place, and moved it to the Repertoire, where it seems to belong. 1 Quote
Quinn Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 It's down to individual works: Led Zeppelin 1 Pink Floyd: Saucerful, Atom Heart Mother; Dark Side of the Moon. (Thereafter they seemed to go into decline, to me). Strawberry Switchblade: Anything but their full commercial album. 1 Quote
Olov Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 I have a thing for Coldplay, especially the "A Rush of Blood to the Head"-album. Never get tired of it! 1 Quote
AngelCityOutlaw Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 (edited) A lot of country and folk bands from the 80s and 90s never really followed a lot of the production trends of their era. I kinda like that because it makes the music difficult to date. For example: This song came out nearly 30 years ago, but sounds like it could've come out yesterday. AC/DC are the masters of this. They always sound "like AC/DC". They have never sounded like a particular decade because they just write rock music and don't follow whatever is trendy. This is even older than the Garth Brooks' song, but doesn't feel "old" either Edited July 25, 2021 by AngelCityOutlaw 1 Quote
