Left Unexplained Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 I like the flute patch you're using. Nice minor plagal cadences in the middle. It seems to dance around if that makes sense, I like the feel. Good phrasing, well constructed. I also like the ending where you change the key center to major, I like doing that too. I think this is a good piece! Good job. Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 Personally I feel like this piece isn't jaunty or energetic enough to be called a dance. I don't know if increasing the tempo would help. I guess someone could definitely dance to it if they wanted to but I still can't help but feel like it's a little languid. Also the instrumentation doesn't help because I feel like the strings are too bass heavy without any violins .. might have served the piece better and made it feel lighter if it was scored for cello, viola and violin or just string quartet or something. Just saying - most fun, energetic classical music especially by Mozart is kinda biased towards the treble end of the register. That's just my opinion though. Thanks for sharing! Quote

Thanks for the review. I do have a version with violin instead of flute. I really liked the Flute texture though. For fun I'll post the original piano version now.
