Although this doesn't stay strictly pentatonic it certainly has a certain pentatonic flavor to it.  That seems to kind of define the character of the (oboe) melody for me.  The phrases seem kind of random though.  Without a traditional phrase structure such as a period or a sentence, the melody seems to wander aimlessly up and down the register, sometimes stepwise, sometimes in short skips.  Maybe that was your intention given the title of the piece?  But that's my impression of it.  Thanks for sharing!

Yes. that's the intention of the work ... small streams of running/wandering water down a window pane.

Hi, beautiful piece. It's true that the organization of the phrases is a bit "bellini style", free and with unexpected changes and duration. But there is coherence all over the piece with the piano countermelodies en the repetition of motives in the second part.

The piano part is not complicated but effective.

greetings.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. Dreaming away a little in the countryside, father smokes pipe, the children make their homework, mother cooks in the kitchen and the birds chirp their eveningsong. Little House on the Prairie feelings 😄
