Thatguy v2.0 Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Dude you're phenominal. I wasn't expecting such a clean and detailed score. I haven't heard a piano piece on here that's captivated my attention as well as this did for such a long time; you've got enormous talent! I wish I could critique more on playability but this is certainly above my grade. I love what you did with the impressionistic language. Do you study music? Seems like you have a lot to offer here, I'd love to hear your thoughts on others' music. I'll certainly come back to this piece for repeated listens, and it's one I think I could learn a lot from as far as what the piano is capable of. Well done! 1 Quote
aMusicComposer Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Wow wow wow! That is absolutely amazing. I love how the colours change through the piece - the harmonies and textures you use are so exciting and fresh. Regarding playability - as a pianist, I can say it's certainly possible. It looks really very difficult, and a potential performer would likely be terrified by the sheer number of notes - but all the difficulty integrates into the texture such that it really does remind me of the (difficult!) piano writing of the great impressionists. Really well done, I hope this can be publicly performed! Do you have more pieces in the set? Quote

I did learn from Debussy and Ravel for the impressionism mood, yet I wasn't really professional in music cus I am just only an amateur lol! I compose according to my feelings, so in my perspective it is like a mirror reflecting my emotions! I am certainly discovering more in the forum haha, so I might comment below in the future too! Again an appreciation to your compliments, I wasn't expecting a such detailed comment! Quote

I originally want to make it somehow more virtuoso and skilled-demand, yet worried that it would be overwhelmed somehow 🙂 Thanks for letting me know that it is playable lol and thanks for your comment. In fact, I do have some other piece, yet most of them are incomplete... So I may upload more of my work if I finished them! Big thanks again! Quote
