Omicronrg9 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Extra points for the human interpretation. The melodic motive is simple and easily recognizable, and gives a sense of cohesion but perhaps there's not too much development around that idea (which isn't necessarily bad, of course)... Do you have a PDF of this? If not I'd really encourage you to write a score of this beautiful piece you made. The section starting around 2:40 is very fine, and the end of this piece is "prepared" enough to my taste (though abrupt endings work nicely if they're properly done too). Thank you for sharing this and enriching this already full of gems forum!! Kind regards, Daniel–Ømicrón. Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 What beautiful textures and harmonies skillfully woven together by a lyrical and songlike melody! Thank you very much for sharing this! Would you be willing to post the score? Quote

PeterthePapercomPoser Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Thank you for posting the score! I didn't really understand the level of sophistication and variation present within this piece until I followed along with the score. I love that you changed key at the end - it had a very bittersweet effect and changing the key or ending on a non-tonic chord is something I've been trying to do more in my own music. I also love the variation in figuration you included within the piece while still keeping the melody familiar (meas. 74 and onward). Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote
francoisfj Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Beautiful, I really enjoyed it. I also like the change of the key at the end, and the duplet melodic motive. 1 Quote
