Something I started a while ago living in Colombia and recently decided to finish. More or less a theme with variations.

I think the writing is correct and the impression is this is a sort of variation set. The overall impression for me is that the sequence of variations are similar, except what sounds from measure 33, which is a bit abrupt (in a second exposition the ear is ready for it).

As Luis said this seemed to me like some kind of variations over the passage presented in the first eight bars with some deviations and material that would not really belong to that category.

There are some measures in which the score reading could be simplified without actually affecting the sound. I notice you used 32nd notes that could be notated as stacatto 16th as it seemed to be the intention (see M101-M104). The dotted 16th silences can be confusing and they really add nothing in this case.

Regarding those final measures (M92-End) I really think the first 8 bars had potential to be a powerful coda of your piece. If it works for you it's totally okay, don't get me wrong, but I feel like the end is broken. You could have ended at M100 and it would've been a better ending in my opinion.

The rest of the piece has some nice moments in it like the time signature change or M48-M56, M74-M80, though I must say that my favourite part is the potentially powerful coda I mentioned (M92- M100).

Kind regards ^^!

Thank you Luis and Omicronrg9 for commenting. Shortly after posting it occurred to me that I probably should have taken more time to finish the piece. Your constructive remarks have confirmed this in a very positive way.

Good start you have here.

One thing I noticed is your score doesn't match up with the right beats. For instance, you should notate the first 3 notes in a pickup measure, with A being beat 1, measure 9 should be D beat 1, etc. It would make it way easier to read as well. Hope this helps! Eager to hear an update to this, and feel free to comment on others' works if you haven't already. It a sure way to get more help from the community here. Thanks for sharing!
