Here's a work for Piano and Oboe.  It has been revised a few times over the years. 

I played this work in one of my earlier teacher's (I am now on my 5th and best teacher) studio recitals.

I like the Phrygian modal character of this one.  Although now that I've looked at the score I can see that it's not quite as simple as that.  It seems like you apply a b2 degree to what seems to be a mostly Lydian flavor.  I love that.  Mixing modes is probably one of my favorite things in music.  The only thing that would have been more amazing at least harmonically is if you had used one of those modal mixtures to modulate to a different key.  But the piece is great as it is.  Thanks for sharing.
