semotivo Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 (edited) Hi! This is one melodic piece i wrote some time ago. I later intented it for small band group, so the pdf file has only melody and chords. And players can add background and second voice and also solo. C part is also ad libitum. the Mp3 file has a different background in A part. structure is AB-8 bar or 16 bar solo-CCA, but there is no solo part in the mp3 file, so it is ABCCA. EDIT: I added live recording (clarinet solo) mp3 file Edited December 3, 2022 by semotivo added another mp3 file MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu peace peace (clarinet) > next PDF peace_ 2 Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 It sounds to me like an old midi that was meant to be imported into a RPG maker RPG game (video game music). It has that moody notey-ness to it that I associate with video game music. Thanks for sharing. 1 Quote

Now regarding the piece itself: • The structure and harmony is pretty clear which makes it very "readable" without really opening the score. The mix of instruments you make is interesting, but possibly the soundfonts are unfortunately not the best to make justice to your tune. • I like the kinda echoed clarinet version much more, it's so fresh, so honest, like a real interpretation performed decently enough always feels to me. Thank you for adding this extra mp3, it was a pleasure to hear your interpretation! Kind regards, Daniel–Ømicrón. Quote
Thatguy v2.0 Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Dude, as a solo clarinet piece, this would be really cool. Is that you playing? It sounds really good! And I love the added ornamentation too. I get renaissance vibes from this (just from the clarinet that is), I'd be really curious to know how the final version sounds. Get out there and find some players to get more recordings, or record parts you can play yourself! Don't let this one die as a midi rendition if you can help it, I really like what's going on here. Well done 😄 Quote
