The Music Man Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Allright, these may seem simple, I have searched the wab and forum and tried many things, but I can't seem to find rests on finale 2006. Also is it possible to copy a bar in sibelius 4, and paste it like in finale. I've only just got sibelius and am having trouble trying to make it work well. Help would be appreciated.:P Quote
CaltechViolist Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Copying and pasting in Sibelius is simple. Select a bar by clicking anywhere in the bar that isn't occupied by a note, then copy and paste just like any other software. Quote
Calehay Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I'm pretty sure that you can't paste from Sibelius to Finale. Of course, there's other options. You could make a Midi and take the notes and clean them up in your score. You could print out the score and scan it in (though from what I've seen of Finale's scanning, it's not anywhere where it needs to be.) You could go through the pain-staking process of putting it in yourself. Rests confused me too. I've forgotten how to do it now, since I stopped using Finale. Quote
The Music Man Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 Thanks guys, help appreciated much. Quote
Keerakh Kal Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 When I first got finale, I was confused too about the whole rest thing, but the solution's simple: THERE ARE NONE! ...Kidding. Just right-click on the window where all of the buttons are and select 'rest pallate' or something like that. ~Kal Quote
JanKesler Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I think I've been confused by this too in the past. Not a big deal, or something to be embarrassed about. Quote

Peter_W. Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I love how no one answered this remarkably easy question, in the five years of the thread's existance. And I'm not about to ruin a good thing. Quote
