Albayrak Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 A piece I wrote for string orchestra. Thanks for any thoughts or comments. Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 A very sad and despairing piece. Is there also a harp in this? It seems that it plays a very minor role. But it does lend the melody a certain punctuation and accent - makes it better heard than if it were played by strings alone. I've heard it said that we as composers need to isolate sometimes to get any work done on our music! LoL Thanks for sharing. 1 Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Lovely melody and mood! I like it. I love the section around 1:20 when the melody moves to low strings. I actually agree with Peter. Adding harp for me will diminish the depressing sound and add some hope in it. I think an all bowed strings sound will be even better. 3 hours ago, PeterthePapercomPoser said: I've heard it said that we as composers need to isolate sometimes to get any work done on our music!
