I've been delving deep into exploring more contemporary works of late and came across this exceptional gem from Luciano Berio. I've been mesmerized by it. The aural landscape he creates here is trippy to say the least. Awesome work!

One of his works that utterly captivated me was his 'kind of 'concrète'' piece Omaggio a Joyce, in that it's Cathy Berberian reading. In Berio's own words it bridged the spectrum from language to poetry to pure sound. The recording doesn't work too well on headphones because it lacks crossfeed - probably more difficult in 1958 with limitations of what could be done (and reproduced in stereo) at the time. If your headphone amp has crossfeed, turn it up to about 30%.
