Tom Dahlenburg Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) This composition mostly relies on the same waltz/melody, it is introduced strait away and continuous throughout the piece. I've spent about 4-5 hours completing this Waltz however I feel like I could have challenged myself a bit more like with my previous Waltz, Waltz No.4 in D Major. Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Hi @Tom Dahlenburg, Finally you have a new post here! I enjoy the joy in your waltz, and actually that's not easy to achieve! Overall I find it very graceful. I like the pizz. section near the end and the contrasting section in 2:21. Personally I would like to add more contrasting material in it, since the theme is mostly played in high register in D major. I think modulation to related keys, playing the theme in low legister, add a contrasting theme will do, since the main theme itself is enjoyable! This is subjective though. Thanks for sharing! I see you have other pieces in youtube. Do we have the chance to see them posted here? Henry Quote
Omicronrg9 Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Hi Tom, it seems that this video is no longer online, just giving you a heads up in case you didn't notice. Kind regards!! Quote
