So as @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu and @Thatguy v2.0 had asked about before, I decided to sort of try getting back into doing music for more stuff.

I started with compiling some of the Castlevania inspired tunes I did over the last two years, remixing and editing some of them into loops and now it just went up on the GameDevMarket (Unreal and Unity stores soon to follow). We'll see how it does.

Anyway, thanks for your support guys.

I have some packages of 20th-Century Style adventure movie music and 80s stuff in the works too, of course, some tracks are just standalone pieces and I'll be sure to post them on the forums like always.

As I've said I really enjoy the last track since it's so gothic with the organ and the bells. You always know how to write great thematic music, and I'm always amazed by it!

Thanks for sharing and I hope more people get to know your music!

Awesome Chris! love that guitar tone, and you have a very diverse style that always sounds unique to you and very polished

Please don't take me for being a dick, and maybe I'm just wrong and I'm definitely in the minority here, but you have a few out of tune notes in the guitar. If I'm wrong and my ears are whack, disregard. But the notes that are sharp just stick out to me. Mostly unbent notes, so possibly the string is sharp or you're just pressing way too hard on the fret, but one bend as well.

Sorry, don't hate me

Well you are literally the only person who has complained about it in two years lol.

They probably are; I actually tuned the guitar before each take and checked the tuning after. So likely, it is either some frets are somewhat out, or over shooting the bend.

And I know for a fact that some notes aren't perfect in tune, because at the very end of the song (not in this sampler) I accidentally struck the b string as I was bending up to the highest fret on the E, so it sounds dissonant, but I thought went perfect with ending crescendo's tension, so I left it in.

I'd leave it as is, because it adds a much more human touch to it. Similarly, that solo violin in the second track drifts out of tune as well; no solo violinist is ever completely perfect, and none of the tin whistles I own are completely on point either. Always at least one flatter or sharper note in the bottom octave.

lol but it's clean as a whistle. I can't get anything close unless I'm just through an amp...unless that's how you got it?

Just an amp sim. Free ones actually

Here's something I just threw together using the same setup as in this music pack. If you want it, I can send you the links to the same amp sim and impulses.

Hey @AngelCityOutlaw! This is really cool! It's great to see how much effort you put into creating this and providing it for others to use is very respectable.

I hope the drop on the GameDevMarket is going well. I would be curious how long it took you to build this out and release, maybe the process required to do it so that others can have an understanding of what is required if they are interested in following in your footsteps!

Looking forward to hearing more about and the next thing you are working on!

Yeah dude, I love your tones. Very 80's metal vibe I get. PM me anything you want, I'd love to hear where you get your samples from. But tbh, I know your mixing and production skills are top notch. Maybe when I post some new guitar stuff you'd be willing to offer some advice on it. Should be coming soon, but I'm having a buddy record me. I just don't trust fully digital sounds yet, but I'd like to know more about the options I have, and you seem to know your stuff.

Well, one of the songs in the pack is from 2 years ago; I spent probably over a month working on it. Some of the other tracks are from last summer. For this, I remixed it and the other songs I also did some editing to and forming into loopable tracks since they originally weren't. I spent about 3 days putting the pack together, getting the artwork together etc.

I'm going for the quality over quantity approach. Most of the stuff that is being released on these stores; you can buy 50 tracks for like 20 dollars, but frankly, a lot of it is shovelware.

So I'm trying to stand out by putting out smaller packages, but with better tunes, better art, cooler names and higher production values. With the adventure themed orchestra music I'm doing right now, I wouldn't expect to done be until spring or so.

Also, just as a side note: The Unity Asset store is really not user-friendly to musicians.

You have to actually download the unity game engine, the asset tools, and assemble the package IN the stupid game engine and create all the metadata for it on the website. You can't just upload your .zip. It takes 20 days to evaluate as well, so if there is a problem with your pack, it can set back its release by a long time.

That's quite stupid actually! Why it takes that much of time to evaluate? Really not understanable to that. I hope it go well for you Chris!

It is

but on the bright side, I've actually already made some sales through GameDevMarket.
