Robert Phillips Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Hi all, I'm new here, my name is Robert Phillips and I am the Managing Director of the June in Buffalo Festival which will take place at the University at Buffalo from June 6 - 11, 2023. I just discovered this forum and started browsing through this forum today and thought some composers have works suitable to be programmed at June in Buffalo. This year our ensembles are the Arditti Quartet, Slee Sinfonietta, Switch~ Ensemble, and the Talujon Percussion Ensemble. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will also be there but they will not be performing participant pieces. The application deadline has ben extended to February 7. We set the deadline a bit earlier than previous years and we had some applicants ask us to give them a little bit more time to get their materials together. Also, we still have some slots open for some of the ensembles. One can apply here: https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/content/arts-sciences/music21c/june-in-buffalo/applyref.html All the best, Rob Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 I find this cool too, but I live far far away in the other end of the Pacific... Quote
Robert Phillips Posted February 2, 2023 Author Posted February 2, 2023 If accepted you get a stereo recording of your work which you can share and publish online along with the lectures and masterclasses. It is unlikely one could hire the Arditti Quartet, Switch~ Ensemble, Slee Sinfonietta, or the Talujon Percussion Ensemble to record a work for $800. Quote
