Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Hi @hw1234, 7 hours ago, hw1234 said: Just got out of the mental ward Hope you have a recovery from this! What is the etude practicing for? I find it even shorter than the pieces of Beyer and you should extend it! For the waltz 1 the first half is ok except for the 7 bar structure which is weird for a waltz. The second half is strange after b.18 since waltz rhythm is not maintained and the ending of a bare G is confusing. You should end at least in the tonic C minor chord with a perfect cadence! For the fugue (or better fughetta) you shoulf add rhythmic independence to each voice, instead of 3rds all over. Voice leading is also crucial for fugal writing! I think the party is quite good with the voice exchange! Keep writing for longer works! Henry Quote
