Ilias Gomatos - "Isolated Songs"

Hi @iliasG,

Are the pieces played by yourself? If yes they are very accurately executed and great job!

I love how you build up on the elements at the beginning of each piece and extend with embellishments, chords and developements of passages. I also like your jazzy chords and improvisatory rhythms even it's not my thing. The Isolated II piece is brilliantly played with those embellishment notes! Great job and thanks for sharing!

Hi, Ilias.

Not much to make criticism here at least from my point of view right now. The ambient you create in the prelude is very satisfying to be in. The first Isolated Song builds up very successfully and while the very first seconds didn't convince me, this feeling dispelled quickly.

The second Isolated Song begins better to my taste, I would say this one is my favourite out of the three. Feels like an improvisation on a chord pattern which gets a bit repetitive after the first minute, but not boring at all. I may have liked a more "floating" approach in some sections instead of a charged one, but in any case I enjoyed it as much as the preceding two or perhaps even more. Very nice ending too!

Kind regards,
Daniel–Ømicrón.

Really enjoyed the atmospherics in all three pieces, and I like the timbre of your piano. Has a nice "honky tonk" quality.

I think your chord progressions are very inventive and interesting, and you have some strong catchy melodic lines.
