I got stuck on this one, and worked on all the others after it while I figured out what I was trying to go for...I think.

At any rate, thanks for all who have been checking these out. This one's based in Bb, dabbles at quartal harmonies, and features wide extremes in dynamics.

Hey @Thatguy v2.0 Vince guy,

I'm sorry I don't review this earlier to let this sink! I originally want to review it when I have enough time since I am afraid I will write trash in a rush, but procrastination have trapped me until now!

I always like your quartal harmony. I always have to thank you and @Jean Szulc for introducing quartal harmony to it which literally transform my harmonic vocab, as I write many quartal harmony in my recent pieces!

I really feel like in the middle section it's Prokofiev's War Sonatas! I'm sure it's a banger if I doesn't misunderstand the word! This makes the ending very beautiful in a quiet way. 

I'm thinking of having b.46 in an augmented chord D-F#-Bb-D since I'm playing your 4th prelude.

For sure I enjoy this! Thanks for sharing my conVINCEing guy!

I really love this piece! It reminds me of joe hisaishi's works! I have a few suggestions:

- Maybe, piano is not the 'adecuate' instrumentation for this pieces, i feel that a small orchestra would have expressed a lot more, but this is just my opinion.

- Chords in RH from b25 to b36 may be a bit unconfortable, and i think that another type of accompaniment (like arpeggios) would have been better, it fits more in the style.

- I really love b15-16!!

- b41-45 are brilliant! (check prokofiev's piano sonat no.6 and op4 no.4!!)

oh I like this idea actually. I'm going to give final amendments to these when I'm done with them all, and this seems like a cool idea. Thanks Henry

it's a recent thing for me too, it's nice to have it as a tool when writing. 😄

it would be a cool idea to orchestrate this someday!

you guys both seem to find this true. I don't know Prokofiev very well, most of the time when I've tried to listen to his music I give up, but I'll be sure to recheck!

yeah it's possible. It didn't seem to bother me much, but I'm always torn when writing 10ths if I should write them as if I were playing or if anyone wanted to try it. I'll give it some more thought when I do final touches on it.

I really rock this haha! Those ninths and tenths in the LH in the middle section are real hurting me!! And I have used an hour for this recording, the longest time I have since this one is special.

After playing it I find the structure of this similar to prelude no.1. The original appears to be calmer, getting agitated, explode and then the original theme is deconstruct for new meaning.

One thing I have done not following the score is in b.39 when I still keep the accel going until end of b.40 with a ritenuto since I feel it better with no reason haha. Another thing is in b.49 and similar places. I put the fermata to the rests after instead of on the notes, since I think the extra rest will enhance the mood and repentance of the section. (Hope Vince forgives me for all this!)

This one is for sure intense playing and very emotionally driven. Next one: jazzy no.9!
