Sonata in A

I'm dropping another bomb here so soon haha...
 

This is probably one of my last works that was fully written by pen(cil) and paper before realisation. Heavily influenced by Beethoven (banging) and Schubert (length, though not so heavenly...), though moments of Tchaikvosky in the last movement shows I suppose.

I can't remember the noteflight account info so unfortunately I can't reformat anything except to repost the link here (too lazy to reformulate it on musescore, but also I'm not going back to this work, too much copycat imo)

Hi there!  This is really good!  There were some things that surprised me, but nothing much wrong.  I was only able to listen to the 1st movement, but I'll try to get back to the rest of it.  

The introduction in A minor I thought had to be a mistake, but then you took up the sonata proper in A major, I saw what you were doing.  Unusual, but not without precedent.  

The second theme - the key signature goes to C, but thematic material seems to hover at or near G - one would expect this theme to be in E, but again this is not without precedent.  

The bottom of Pg4 to the top of pg5 - delightful, loved it!  

Great buildup to the recapitulation.

The 2 measures rest on Pg11 seemed too long to me - are you sure a single measure of grand pause might not be enough here?

I seemed to be obsessed with Schubert's length at the time of writing this. But without much of the lyricism 😞

My favourite parts of the sonata is the third theme/closing theme of the first movement, the minore variation in the second movement, both trios in the scherzo movement (and also the halved da capo), and the third theme (canon part) of the fourth movement (both expo and recap).

Only one of which I heard!  I'll need to try to circle back to this.  Keep working on the lyricism aspect if you really want to emulate Schubert.  You can do it!
