Hi all, This is a woodwind duet that is still in a sketchy form.

This goes over my abilities as a player.

The main part is played two times - it has slow and fast variation. After that There is development part what is unfinished and the piece stops abruptly.

The mood in the beginning reminds of one baroque flute duet that unfortunately i haven't managed to find anymore from Youtube. The "opening.mp3" file tells how this duet begins. It could be some of french composer's.

Hi @semotivo,

What will be the two woodwinds featured in the piece? This can affect the composition much since different have their particular timbre and precaution to use!

The interaction between the two parts is good, and the mood is lively! Would like to hear the finished product soon!

Hi Henry
The first player could be clarinet. I would choose second player to have contrast in sound and timbre with the first player. The instrument could be bassoon, tenor saxophone or maybe bass clarinet. Also cello could be possible. Oboe could good, but it does not have wide playing range. Some of these selections may need corrections in playing range. If the second player would be clarinet, it may sound too much same and second player maybe need to play with slightly different sound, interpretation or phrasing than first player.

Also the balance should be that way that one of the player plays louder and other more silently so they wont start to compete too much. But staccato passages could be louder.

This is hard to play at some places for me so i have relied on musescore mp3 generator.
