It's quite difficult to visualize the sound from your pdf file. Would you also provide the mp3 so that we can review this more easily?🤔

From what I've seen from your sample score you are composing with set theory in mind. What is the intention of the piece?

Here is an mp3 recording of my piece. The intention of the piece is atmospheric, with the intention to create a broad soundscape within the framework of notes

found in the music🙂

I like the way you use both clusters of chords and spread chords of the same set to create the broad atmosphere.

But in the recording the harp is actually a piano right? Maybe it will be overwhelmed by the trumpet irl.

Indeed, in the recording the harp sounds like a piano and in reality there could be a kind of struggle in balance!

Good job writing for the harp - you obviously understand how the harp pedals work and how the chromaticism of a harp can be utilized.  You also pretty much just stick to one set of pitch classes throughout the whole piece, without ever changing the pedals (except for the F natural in measure 6 which I'm assuming is meant to be an F#).  The last chord is a pandiatonic expression of all the pitch classes you decided to use in the piece.  I think you could have definitely ventured out more to some other transpositions of the set you decided to use.

Having played trumpet myself, I personally don't think that balancing the dynamics with the harp will be that difficult.  None of the notes that the trumpet plays are in an extreme register of the instrument (at least while the harp is playing with it) and can be played quietly by a skilled player.  This is not unlike another piece submitted recently to the forum for trombone and harp and it worked beautifully!  Thanks for sharing.
