PeterthePapercomPoser Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Nice job! The music is very well fitted to the video. The initial and sometimes terrifyingly short glimpse of life that the turtles experience is well portrayed by the delicate single sustained note and some pizzicato at the very beginning. Then, the music suddenly but subtly turns dark, when the predators (are they a type of vulture?) are introduced. The sudden descending chromaticism at 1:39 is perfect at depicting the unease as the viewer realizes the impending doom. And the music has no problem turning back into a hopeful but fragile struggle to get to the ocean. Thanks for sharing this great music and video which depicts the sad but true facts about the natural world. Quote
Gustav Johnson Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Excellent composition! Very beautiful and very expressive, loved listening! The only thing I might have considered changing would be to add a change in instrumentation, range, or texture to differentiate structural sections. You have some great stuff here - definitely keep pursuing this! Gus Quote
