Luis Hernández Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 It sounds very good, but I think the flute is almost all the time in a register that is not the brightest for it. Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Hi @Guardian25, For me this is a nice gigue/siciliano like final movement. I like your economical use of motive, for example the figure of b.8 flue is repeated and remains a important dialogue for both instruments, as well as the fugato like opening of both sections. There's a parallel fifth in b.45. The Eb bass in b.49 is not resolved to D before getting to Bb and may sound unresolved. For the ending phrase in b.76 I may not retain the fugal like opening since it may reduce the excitement towards the ending by having the continuo in rest. Thx for sharing! Henry Quote
