Luis Hernández Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 I quite like the rhythmic ostinato in the background that serves as an arc for the development of the right hand. It seems to me a very lyrical piece. Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Hi Mark @MJFOBOE, I quite enjoy those ostinatos and your harmonies as usal. Just beware of the ninths and tenths since it can be unplayable by pianists with small hands, so maybe arpeggios with a parenthesis can be added there. I can play those chords though. Henry Quote
MJFOBOE Posted August 29, 2023 Author Posted August 29, 2023 Henry ... Thanks for reminding me ... 🙂 Quote
Ferrum Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Heya! Really like the texture and harmony here. This really gives me this gloomy and somewhat nostalgic feeling? Reminds me of the OST of an RPG called "One Shot" that I admire. As the others has pointed out, I love that you switched the ostinato to the right hand in the middle part, gives the left hand a spotlight for development material. Anyways, nice piece! Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Nice job! Throughout the piece I was under the impression that most of the time the accidentals would have been better displayed as sharps with perhaps the exception of bar 21 - the Eb should definitely be spelled as a flat. But everywhere else from what I can tell - it would be more logical for the chromatics to be spelled as sharps imo. This is quite a dreary atmosphere you paint - does it have anything to do with autumn? Thanks for sharing. Quote
