At last--

Got Finale and VSL to work well together.   The issue was artifacts in the NOTATION when it got a firmware update to finale from my PRINTMUSIC 14!

The fix is just blowing out the offending passages and readding.  New work in Finale is error free.  I corrected most everything--a few bits need attention.

The samples are definitely superior, and the Cross-fade function is a great feature.   Considering ALL of GPO5 is only 16 GB for 150 instruments and VSL SYCHRONized se v.1  with the PLUS library is 76 GB for 30 instruments and a "lite" D-274 Steinway, you would expect it to be.

Customer support was great.  This technology isn't simple--

UPDATED: UPLOADED VSL MASTER V.3 FILE--NEAR PERFECT. ADDED SFORZANDO.  NICE.

Does VSL work with Sibelius?

KVOTHE--

Yes it does.  In fact they have support documentation.  The new SYNCHRONIZED special edition library is designed to work easily with NOTATION software.  Most libraries are set up to work with DAWS only.

When you buy a library, you will be given the Vienna Ensemble which is the host manager for the SYNCHRON PLAYERS--one player per instrument.  All of it plays  in one bank (multi timbral).  You will also be given an automated key switching/integration file that should set up the notation software playback settings.

Its a bit overwhelming at first, but it makes sense once you get into it.    SIBELIUS AND DORICO have their own support docs as well.   The help desk is quite good--they won't abandon you!

The stuff isn't cheap, but its a healthy step up from Garritan.   Danny Elfman uses VSL on finale--as do many others!

You can save instruments ("VIOLIN CHAMBER"), ensembles ("STRING QUARTET")--so once you get what you need, you can load it quickly next time.   The SYNCHRON PLAYER IS FAIRLY INTUITIVE AND ALLOWS EDITING, ADJUSTMENTS.\

I wish more libraries supported notation software!

Don't need it with notation programs. This is for DAW workstation input.

I have a  Yamaha P-125 digital keyboard for composition purposes, but in input into Finale manually--note by note--just like sibelius.
