This is a sketch of a Barroque-sounding piece.

It consists of variations on a theme over a march rythm. Meanwhile the theme is developed, a second voice also related to the theme is introducted, and starts developing at the same time that the original theme undevelops

I would appreciate feedback to learn more about Barroque composing and ideas to continue the piece

Thank you for your comment

could you explain a bit more why isn’t it Barroque and why it is more classic

I also find it a bit catchy, but the problem is that I don’t know why

I agree that it isn't really Baroque as the bass-march accompaniment makes the texture of the piece primarily homophonic rather than purely polyphonic which Baroque music is expected to be since it is primarily based on counterpoint.  Your piece does have some interesting counterpoint in it but the accompaniment and the repeating 6-bar structure gives it more of a Classical character.  I like how you develop the countermelody while deconstructing the original melody - that is a very interesting technique and also very useful for making the piece playable I think.  Thanks for sharing this regal-sounding piece!

I don't think this is baroque, it sounds classical or even a contrapuntistic romanticism. This march-like bass is not quite common in that era. I think that changing the bass line for a contrapuntistic melody would be better!

But i liked how catchy is this melody!
