Hardly Communist. It was discovered fairly recently that Alexandrov may have stolen the melody from a little-known overture composed by Kalinnikov in 1892, fully 25 years before the Communist revolution.

I like Costa Rica (of course!), France, England, Poland, Germany and Panama

Austrian national anthem is awesome. Haydn wrote it. I also like La Marseilles. America's is boring.

Haydn wrote Germany's anthem, Mozart wrote Austria's.

Romania, Russia, Canada. In that order.

Also, the Red Army Choir is fantastic - if you hear their recording of the Russian national anthem....just wow.
