A little while ago, I was commissioned this (extremely) short piece to serve as an intro for a local radio program that talks about the artistic and cultural scene in my state (Veracruz, Mexico)

Tras La Cultura.pdf

I am not very proud of the counterpoint in the dorian part, but overall, I liked how it turned out. I hope you like it too 🙂

Nice. Rhythmic, light and (as far as I can tell) Mexican sounding so it should have served it's purpose well. I recall some guitar pieces by M Ponce (Mexican Folk Song, and the Thème varié et Finale). Although my favourite Mexican composer is Revueltas, I've listened to much Mexica classical, semi-classical music.

Great little piece and it would be so good to write something a little longer.

Wonderful, quirky and great for an introduction to a program about Mexican art and culture!  Some of my favorite jazz music (although I am not much of a connoisseur) comes from the Veracruz region iirc.  My favorite arrangement is this one by Stanley Turrentine:
